This is my twelfth GBBD post and a first birthday of my blog– a small anniversary. The past year was a time of learning: learning about plants, compositions, care, maintenance, and even about photography. Thanks to the GBBD community, all the gardeners who invite to visit their gardens and share their experience– you folks are a great source of inspirations to me. I am very happy I’ve spend this year with you. Thanks for your visits, support and kind comments. And special thanks to Carol from May Dream Gardens for hosting this beautiful GBBD initiative.
Writing a blog and participating in GBBD is also some form of self-discipline. Although my life was crazily busy lately, writing and taking photos always helped to find some time to enjoy my garden. Last week I had so many things to do that I hardly find some time to go outside to look at my flowers. But yesterday I looked at the calendar and it was the last day before 15th. Not very happy about one more ‘must do’ I went outside and found my late asters starting to bloom. It was so gratifying. It was one of these moments you can firmly say – life is beautiful. Thanks for reminding me of my passion.
So happy GBBD! I hope this autumn will be long, warm and mild and there will be plenty of cosy moment in our gardens. Here are some pictures form my September.
Grasses
Candles
Bright faces
Strong umbrellas
And some general shots how all that come together
How I love seeing all your beautiful plants in context! Thank you.
Thanks for visiting, Chris. You are right I should show my flowers in context more often. Photos of a single plant help to hide unattractive spots in my garden, but general shots in many cases are much more interesting.
In theory gsreass should grow in my garden and I really should sow the seed I bought last year when I was in the throes of my prairie gardening passion, But do I still love them enough to try? Or am I just a star-crossed lover fearing failure expecting the howling winds to tear them to shreds? Oh dear is this the seeds of another Gardening Dilemmas post?Happy Easter from a wet, cold and windy island.
Su pirmuoju gimtadieniu 🙂 Labai džiaugiuosi galimybe pasigrožėti nuostabiomis sodo fotografijomis. Ir tekstai kartais taip pagauna bei užkabina! Ačiū, Aiste, už galimybę pažvelgti į sodo kūrimo procesą kitu kampu 🙂
Ačiū už sveikinimus, manau, kad mainai abipusiai 🙂
